Welcome to the Cooley For Congress campaign website! My name is Jody Cooley, and I am running for U.S. Congress to offer a different voice to Georgia’s 9th District voters.  Our current House of Representatives is far too polarized to be an effective legislative body.  We need more civility in political discussions!

I have a vision that we can do better and that voters want and deserve for their elected officials to:

1. Put country first, before allegiance to party, reelection prospects, or special interests.
   
2. Use common sense when considering legislation.
3. Compromise when necessary to move forward on important issues like job creation, the budget, expanding health care coverage, and comprehensive immigration reform.
4. Exercise political courage to do what is right for people!!! My campaign is dedicated to these principles.
